Alewives are one of the most prolific saltwater baits, productive for most species inshore and offshore. These jigs are 2 oz, 5 oz and 6 oz. The 2 and 5 have a knife edge on the bottom and much thicker top, with incredible wobble effect on the fall and erratic retrieve; they can be used slow pitch or standard. The 6 oz is flat sided, will fall a bit faster, and retrieve diagonally with a jerk. You can also cast the 2 oz easily from surf, pier or boat.
